2025 Prediction: A Surge of Self-Serve CTV Buyers

  • Roku predicts 2025 will be a big year for self-serve CTV

  • Roku Ads Manager makes CTV advertising easy

  • Target your audience, optimize campaigns, and drive performance

It consists of 4 key pillars:

I) Profile Optimization
II) Building a list
III) DM Sequence
IV) Scaling with Automation

I) Profile Optimization

Profile picture:

  • Clear headshot - Headshot pro or other AI tools to generate one if necessary

  • Use Canva to remove background and add a base colour if you want

Banner:

  • Callout to ICP - e.g I help agencies doing $100,000+ monthly

  • Outcome/Offer - e.g Book 20-50 qualified calls/month guaranteed

  • Call-to-action - e.g DM me “Leads”

  • 2 SIMPLE colours

Headline:

  • {Callout}, {Outcome} in {Timeframe} with {Safety Net (if applicable)}

  • e.g Agencies, book 25 calls in the next 25 days, 100% performance based

  • You could also include a “unique mechanism”, this is just a way to position your service as different and superior to competitors - e.g 3 Cs System or Rainmaker DM System (not a fan of going too heavy on this because it just gets cringe)

Featured Section (LinkedIn only):

  • Softer CTA - e.g Subscribe to my newsletter

  • Social proof - e.g case study or testimonial posts

II) Building a list

LinkedIn or Twitter scraping (with Phantombuster) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AamJZtBDrG4

For any other platform, I use Apify

Once you have a list export it as a .CSV

Then import into google sheets and filter for different columns if necessary.

III) DM Sequence

The goal of the first message is to get a reply, from there we build a relationship throughout the conversation and if qualified push to a call.

Client Acquisition DM template V2 - Value:

Hey man, {location-based personalization}. I saw you are {position} at {company}, and I actually just made this resource that might help you achieve {outcome} (free ofc) - here’s a link:

P.S - {soft cta}

Example:

Hey man, great to find another UK-based founder. I saw you’re running Slack, and I actually just made this resource that might help you generating some more revenue (free ofc) - here’s a link:

P.S - Would you be open to the idea of a quick chat? Got some more ideas for you

Follow-ups:

  • Lower friction CTA (e.g sending over a video directly without permision and asking if they found it useful)

  • “Hey I had some time and wanted to hear back” (in case they were busy)

  • Funny GIF or Meme (last resort)

Learn AI in 5 minutes a day

This is the easiest way for a busy person wanting to learn AI in as little time as possible:

  1. Sign up for The Rundown AI newsletter

  2. They send you 5-minute email updates on the latest AI news and how to use it

  3. You learn how to become 2x more productive by leveraging AI

IV) Scaling with Automation

You can create bot accounts with AI profile pictures which perform normal activity like commenting, liking, posting, messaging for 30 days before launching your campaign.

Then you can automate the process with HeyReach, personally I like them because of the clean analytics and data tracking.

Or for Twitter I have started using Drippi.ai.

Make sure to continously optimize and test new sequences, this will lead to you to finding a winning campaign
