This week’s growth strategy?

Something by the name of… Community Arbitrage

Sounds like something an internet “guru” would say haha.

Definition

“Leveraging existing online communities to strategically generate leads or clients for a business.”

There’s three key relationships we will be building in these communities:

  • Partnerships

  • Technical Connections

  • Prospects/Clients

You need to go where your ICP would hang out.

My favourite places to find communities are Discord, Skool, Reddit & Whatsapp Groups.

Don’t be discouraged by the member count, the lower the members, the easier the access to them.

(especially the owners)

Raymo, the Founder of GaplyLabs, used this strategy to take his AI development agency from 0 → 7 figures ARR.

He paid $300/month for a sub-niche premium community which would host weekly calls.

He joined all the calls and would ask questions, like “Have you guys tried XYZ tool?”, “How do you guys use AI in your business?” etc.

He knew their pain points and had a working solution.

He offered to implement free games that he developed to the owners to help them engage their members and keep them active.

The owners & engaged members became aware that he was able to build complex platforms.

If they had a project in mind or knew someone who was looking for a dev, they would go straight to Raymo.

Here’s the step by step overview:

  1. Setup a profile on community platforms - Human profile picture and CTA in bio

  2. Find & join related communities where your ICP hangs out - Introduce yourself & start engaging

  3. Provide value to members (and especially the owners) - Consultations, resources, insights

  4. Soft promo - after a 1-2 weeks of consistency, start to talk share some case studies & content that you’ve created

Final tip! → Make a Pipeline to manage the status of all the people you want to/already are engaging with.

Top 3 Tools of the Week

This tool makes a MASSIVE map of related sub-reddits from the input of a keyword.

Great way to quickly find niche communities where you can join. (It’s free)

This tool is over-powered. You can build your own specialist AI team to do specific tasks for you… usually with better results.

This tool is so, so, useful for cheap lead scraping. My favourite things to scrape are LinkedIn connections & most social media platforms’ search results.
