the step-by-step framework

the step-by-step framework

You’ll learn exactly how you can make/find growth “hacks” or strategies that work.

There’s 4 steps:

  1. Hypothesis

  2. Experiment

  3. Analysis

  4. Conclusion

Before I even get into each step, you need to understand 1 thing.

Growth is tied to volume of tests.

Here’s a graph of twitters growth in relation to the volume of tests they made:

They 2-3x’ed growth every quarter by increasing from 0.5 → 10 tests/week.

Try to have a dedicated quota of experiments to hit every week.

(you could even have a day only dedicated to experimentation)

Let’s start with step 1.

Building a hypothesis

Template:

[Change] will have [effect] on [KPI]

Example:

Replying to leads on the first contact faster will increase the conversion %

Carrying out the experiment

This is pretty simple.

You just need a way to measure the KPI and track it as it changes.

Most of the time you can do this with a google sheet and custom campaigns/links.

You want to test it multiple times to be able to get an accurate results, most of the time this can be done with a tool.

If you’re unsure what tool to use - ask Perplexity.ai

Analysing the results

Once you’ve got a table/sheet, you can compare results with your previous KPIs.

If you’re dealing with a more complex set of data, you can ask Perplexity.ai or Claude.ai to do an in-depth analysis.

Conclusion

If you yield a positive result → stick with the test, add more volume & run sub-tests

If you yield a negative result - note it down, change the hypothesis & reiterate
